When it comes to depression and sadness, almost all people know the same. But there is a vast difference between this two. Sadness is a part of being human. It happens to almost everyone, at some or other point of life. Its natural and vanishes with time. But when it comes to depression, its more of an illness. Its not good for health and causes bad effects on your mind. It keeps you sadly all day and you don’t enjoy any of the process. It must be taken care of when it is found because, when it grows to a high level, it causes pain, mentally and physically.
There is not always a valid reason for depression. Sometimes the passing away of a near and dear one, not speaking of a girlfriend or an insult in front of a crowd can cause this. It can continue for weeks, months and years !! whereas sadness is temporary. It happens for a very minute reason, may be cause you lot of pain but as time goes, you will be able to forget it. It doesn’t create any mental pressure on you and you become relaxed. You can say that, depression is a long term continuous process of sadness!! sometimes, in some part of your mind, you are having a mental imbalance.
That is some kinds of hormones continuously are created in your mind and it disturbs your balance of mind and body. It keeps you in sadly mode with no real reason and you wonder, what has happened to you.
The major signs of depression are :
1. You be in a sadly mood. You don’t find a valid reason for this. May be there is something that is disturbing you or you are not happy with the situations you have or you are surrounded with a pool of negative thoughts !! You don’t enjoy the company you are in, nor you are aware about the things going around you. You are all into your own sadly mood. You feel like always being alone and not like to talk much people. You are engaged in your own world and you don’t get time to fall into any other business either. Even the people around you are disturbed with your behavior and avoid you because of your such madness.
2. You can Mal- functions in your body. You eat but it doesn’t gets digested. This will weaken your body and cause you feel low. You will not be able to sleep properly and this thing disturbs your entire schedule. You don’t enjoy your work and continuously need reasons to escape from your work. You feel low at energy all day and feel difficult to perform a small task even!! sometimes, you get into such a strong and bad feeling that you can even end up your life. You have a continuous cloud of bad and dirty thoughts that makes you feel helpless. You don’t get the idea, about the work you should do and remain confused all day long.
